Apple introduced three new smartphones at its own Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino: The iPhone XS (pronounced: ten-es, and the naming can definitely be debated...) has the same design as the previous model X, is 5.8 inches in size, and does away with the Home Button. The XS Max, at 6.5 inches, is not only "the largest iPhone ever with the largest display ever on an iPhone." With a price of 1,249 euros or 1,649 euros (512 gigabytes), it is probably also the most expensive iPhone ever! The iPhone XS is available from 1,149 euros. The more affordable iPhone XR is likely to become Apple's "budget phone"... In Germany, they will be available from September 21st - so if you want to have one (or two) in time for the release, you should pre-order now.

What's new?
First of all, the battery life is extended - certainly a dream for smartphone addicts. The battery of the iPhone XS is said to last 30 minutes longer than that of the iPhone X, and the battery of the XS Max 1.5 hours longer. Additionally, there will be the possibility to use two phone numbers simultaneously on one device - keyword "Dual Sim".
A better image processing processor and new sensors are supposed to improve the camera quality of the new models. Movies can now be played in HDR resolution on the OLED display of the iPhone XS and XS Max. And this with expanded storage space of up to 512 gigabytes.
New Apple Watches for an even healthier life
Additionally, the next generation of Apple Watches was introduced, which can also be used as ECG measuring devices in the future. According to Apple, the ECG version will initially only be delivered in the USA. Thus, the Apple Watch Series 4 is supposed to help its wearers lead a healthier life. It helps users manage everything better – from everyday stress to calorie consumption. At the same time, it monitors the heart rate and informs you if it detects something unusual. And with fall detection and emergency SOS, you can now feel even safer: if the wearer falls and does not respond, an emergency call is automatically made. As Apple nicely puts it: "The new Apple Watch takes care of you – and keeps an eye on your heart." It will be available from September 14th.
