The digital agency Demodern is preparing the online presence of the Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland for the digital future. The website of the umbrella brand, which unites channels like RTL, VOX, n-tv, and RTL NITRO and marketers like IP Deutschland, now offers state-of-the-art web technology with integrated video functions and transparent insights into the company.
Cologne, April 18, 2016 – Anyone wanting to know where and how the employees of the Mediengruppe RTL work no longer needs to travel to Cologne: Thanks to the new online presence www.mediengruppe-rtl.de, website visitors can now easily get a picture of the company themselves. And up close and personal. Users might find themselves in the bustling glass foyer one moment, and in the next moment, they are right in the middle of a studio production. During the discovery tour, they can also retrieve more information about the company by clicking on so-called hotspots: These buttons might, for example, designate an employee sitting at a desk or an office item. The new website was conceived and realized by the digital agency Demodern in cooperation with the production company Vision Factory.

The centerpiece of this presence developed by Demodern is the integrated 360° view. Visitors can decide for themselves whether they want to switch from the 360° photo mode to the experimental 360° video view and thus immerse even more visually into the dynamic world of the Mediengruppe RTL. For the experimental video view, Demodern developed a new player in WebGL that enables this form of presentation.

Demodern won the Mediengruppe RTL as a new client 18 months ago.
