Our Game VR Experience for Dräger

Cologne / Hamburg, January 4, 2018 – The digital agency Demodern showcases the safety products for their new client Dräger in a playful and realistic manner with the VR application "Offshore Rig VR-Experience": With the help of an Oculus Rift VR headset and the corresponding Room Scale VR equipment, the user immerses themselves in an oil rig scenario, learns the interaction possibilities, and then carries out an exciting mission.

For the experience, the Demodern team chose a more playful approach: An emergency on an offshore oil rig becomes a race against time. Thanks to Dräger's warning systems, the user quickly detects the danger and raises the alarm. They equip themselves with life-saving gear including a protective suit, oxygen tank, and gas detector, and reach the safety area in time – successfully completing the challenging mission.

The VR application is primarily used at international trade shows and events such as ADIPEC in Abu Dhabi and SPE Offshore Europe in Aberdeen. Industry visitors, customers, and buyers from the B2B segment experience the products of the internationally leading company in high-quality medical and safety technology interactively, while also being made aware of the necessity of safety devices and emergency warning systems. "Dräger stands for the highest safety and innovative devices that ensure protection and support. With our first game VR experience, we demonstrate that VR is a serious technology that serves the playful knowledge transfer and explanation of complex products – even in the B2B sector," says Demodern Managing Director Kristian Kerkhoff.

Demodern secured the new client Dräger from Lübeck in an agency screening.
