FirstWork,ThenPleasure-OrWasIttheOtherWayAround?

Recently, we visited our client in Rochester (New York) to finalize the setup for a digitally equipped trade show booth. Together with "Mirror Show Management" and our new friend Pete, we have planned, digitally equipped, and executed 8 trade shows for Gatorade over the past few weeks.

Looking back on the 10 days, we now agree that the title for our post could have been entirely different. "The Big Feast," for example. Or "the optimal balance between work, leisure, two countries, a conference, and unlimited access to food and alcohol."

But to avoid bringing too many tears to the eyes – we also worked hard. Because while in our digital world, we have a small prototype to test and play with after the first few days, the exhibition builders do it quite differently. Three days before the check-up, the booth was still not visible, let alone imaginable. Even 24 hours prior, it was only possible to develop a rough idea of what the product presentation would actually look like. Here, it's probably the final 8 hours that count, when 50 people with 100 helping hands go full throttle, and it feels like you're in a time-lapse.

Besides the final check-up, we took advantage of the opportunity and made a quick trip from Rochester to Toronto. Passing right by Niagara Falls, we embarked on a road trip to FITC with Pete. Although we had already been to FITC in Amsterdam, Toronto offered us a completely new experience.

Conclusion: What a strong event and what an incredible city! Although our impression was certainly boosted by a beer or two, we met an incredible number of great people at FITC and the subsequent parties and were able to gather inspirations. A special thanks goes to the team from Mirror Show Management and Gatorade. You guys know who you are!

Oh yes, in the end, there was a ride in the Tesla S to the diner, where we were served the infamous "Garbage Plate." A taste experience in that regard.
