Sometimes you feel like you're on a hamster wheel. Constantly the same routines, annoying deadlines, and everyday stress situations. To counteract this a bit, the creators of Imagine Beyond have created a place where people are at the center. What does that mean? Burning Man 2.0 on European soil. (So they say...)

AMSTERDAM OPEN AIR // JUNE 6-7
Amsterdam is great. Not just because of the beautiful tulips - but mainly because of the atmosphere. This student city is lively and offers many events throughout the year from Hip Hop to Techno. However, in June, the masses gather at the Amsterdam Open Air event, where international acts make the canals overflow. Worth a visit.

LOWLANDS // AUGUST 21-23
"There's something for everyone here." What might sound like a bad marketing slogan is actually the program at Lowlands. With acts like SBTRKT, Tame Impala, Paolo Nutini, and Tove Lo, the festival attracts a wide range of music and lets entrenched musical ideologies clash in direct contact. Highly recommended!
Where: Biddinghuizen - about an hour from Amsterdam
For whom: Young and old. Hip-hoppers and indie blokes. Shuffle princes and air guitarists.
MYSTERYLAND // AUGUST 28-30
Take a pinch of Coachella feeling, lots of glitter, some neon, and spaced-out people. Tada, the Mysteryland Festival is ready. Not much needs to be said. After all, Mysteryland is one of the hotspots for fans of the stylistically similar EDM machinery.
Where: The festival grounds are located between Amsterdam and Haarlem in the Haarlemmermeer area.
For whom: A local see-and-be-seen for EDM drop enthusiasts and hat-wearing bloggers.
AMSTERDAM DANCE EVENT (ADE) // OCTOBER 14-18
Some call it "The Mysteryland for people with taste," others as "the European electronic music event of the year." Whatever you choose to call it - ADE attracts incredible acts and lineups in and around Amsterdam every year. The supporting program offers numerous conferences, indoor events, and outdoor treats for fans of electronic dance music.
Where: Over 2,200 acts, 350 events over 5 days - in and around Amsterdam
For whom: Anyone who recognizes names like Nina Kraviz, Carl Cox, and Ben Klock will get their money's worth.
