IFA 2019: Demodern Implements Interactive Installations for Telekom, Bosch, and Mazda

Interactive multitouch tables and terminals, an unexpected Augmented Reality world, and a chatbot: With a total of five innovative trade fair experiences for three clients, Demodern – Creative Technologies is present at the International Funkausstellung (IFA) in Berlin this year.

At the Deutsche Telekom Stand

For the second consecutive year, the creatives at Demodern, commissioned by the Creative Lead Agency Meiré and Meiré, Cologne, implemented various exhibits for Deutsche Telekom's IFA brand presence.

The highlight this year is an Augmented Reality gate through which the trade fair visitor virtually enters the world of the "MeinMagenta App." Once inside the Magenta AR Experience, they discover the app's key services in an entertaining and playful way in augmented reality—visualized in a colorful 3D setting, including small Easter eggs.

In addition to the AR application, "The Idea Forge," an interactive terminal where users create the Telekom service employee of the future—with a rocket backpack, WiFi helmet, and screwdriver glove—as well as a friendly chatbot representing Deutsche Telekom's digital service assistant, were developed by Demodern in collaboration with Meiré and Meiré.

Cook It #LIKEABOSCH

For new client Bosch, the Demodern team, in collaboration with the brand experience agency Avantgarde, brings the 'Cookit,' Bosch's first kitchen machine with a cooking function, to life using an interactive touch table. Trade fair visitors can explore the diverse functions and benefits of the connected device, which is making its world premiere at the IFA. Additionally, there is infotainment and recipe suggestions, vividly presented through 3D content, videos, and animations.

MAZDA Experience

Another interactive multitouch table trade fair experience was created for long-standing Demodern automotive client Mazda. As part of the Mazda Germany Roadshow "Mazda Experience," which is also stopping at the IFA, Demodern developed an installation that allows visitors to explore various Mazda models in 4K Ultra-HD. The installation illustrates not only the craftsmanship and design of the Mazda models using innovative technology and infotainment but also serves as a seamless, scalable sales tool for further trade fair stops on the roadshow.
