IFABerlin2018-DemodernmeetsTelekomMagentaEINS&5G

1800 exhibitors from well over 100 countries on around 160,000 square meters: this is IFA Berlin. The international radio exhibition had a lot to offer once again. Steam cabinets, light art, and Google Home in XXL - major players like Samsung, Google, Sony, and Philips presented new products and trends at the Berlin Messe grounds. In addition to huge exhibition stands, performances that aimed to promote the products through dance were also a trend. Opinions on this varied...

The Deutsche Telekom Stand
The most striking stand was set up by Deutsche Telekom under the motto "Magenta Connects." Designed by the Cologne agency Meiré and Meiré, the stand in Hall 21 shone entirely in magenta over approximately 3000 square meters. For us, the most important spots were firstly the interactive Telekom 5G Race we developed specifically for the stand, which was hard to miss on a six-meter-high screen. And not to forget the PINBALL Game: Yes, exactly, we brought the good old pinball back to life in digital form for Telekom and had a table specially made for the event (as you can see in the pictures). The goal of both installations: to bring Telekom customers or those who want to become one closer to the advantages of 5G and MagentaEINS in a playful and virtual way.

The Telekom 5G Race - the next revolution in mobile networks
Our 5G Race developed for Telekom was displayed on a 4x6 meter LED wall and was hard to miss upon entering the exhibition stand. It aimed to bring visitors closer to the advantages and content of the new, improved, and faster Telekom network through a race à la Mario Kart in a future Smart City. Up to five players could register to control the so-called racers remotely with a smartphone as a controller on the screen. During the game, various obstacles had to be overcome and power-ups in the form of the most important 5G advantages had to be collected to advance and win the competition.

PINBALL - playfully discover the advantages and offers of MagentaEINS
Another installation, the digital pinball, brought players closer to the topics surrounding the new mobile contract MagentaEINS. Here, players could play pinball on two different screens. The goal was to catapult the ball from the lower, more conventional pinball table to the upper area. On a 3x2 meter LED wall, the player could unlock MagentaEINS advantages and collect as many points as possible.

Magenta Connects
And because it was so nice, here are a few highlights from the Telekom stand at IFA Berlin! The stand and our two installations were very well received - even Stromberg himself aka Christoph Maria Herbst paid a visit to the stand.
