Mazda is giving its vehicle exchange a major update. As one of the first automobile manufacturers, Mazda Motors Germany launched its brand-own digital vehicle exchange "FindMyMazda" in July 2015 to present the entire vehicle inventory of German Mazda dealers to customers. This includes new cars, registered stocks, and since last year, used cars as well. Thus, FindMyMazda currently offers Germany's largest selection of Mazda models on the internet with over 28,000 vehicles. In addition to the current vehicle inventory, FindMyMazda also shows users the vehicle order backlog of Mazda dealers. This unique feature sets the platform apart from other vehicle exchanges and underscores the attractiveness of FindMyMazda for all interested parties. Now, Mazda has significantly improved user-friendliness and added new features to the platform.
The new layout is more modern and streamlined, allowing users to navigate even faster. Fewer clicks are needed to find the desired vehicle and make a dealer inquiry. The focus of the revision was on an intuitive user experience - also on mobile devices. Furthermore, users can now conveniently submit a reservation request for a vehicle via the online platform to the offering Mazda dealer.
In addition to increased user-friendliness, it was important for Mazda Germany to optimize offer management for Mazda dealers. Dealers can now mark selected vehicles as "Top Offer," which are particularly highlighted on the platform. Furthermore, FindMyMazda offers dealers additional customization options such as displaying individual discounts, providing opening hours and seller information, or creating individual vehicle photos.
To simplify the listing process for Mazda dealers and standardize the appearance of the offered vehicles, Mazda launched a photo app last year. To make the upload process as simple as possible for dealers, the application starts with the creation of professional and uniform images: Using templates, vehicles can be easily photographed at the correct angle. The integration of vehicle data is then done directly via VIN scanning or by selecting the model from an inventory list. Subsequently, photos and vehicle information can be directly transferred from the app to Mazda's own dealer management system MACS, the sales platform FindMyMazda, and external vehicle exchanges. The result is not only a significant time saving for dealers but also an efficient professionalization of the image material.

In 2020, the platform already recorded over six million page views, fully integrated on the Mazda customer website mazda.de and the centrally provided dealer websites. "With FindMyMazda, we bring customers and dealers closer together by connecting the online and offline worlds. With the relaunch, we have succeeded in intensifying this connection and further advancing digitalization in the Mazda cosmos," says Bernhard Kaplan, Managing Director of Mazda Motors Germany GmbH.
Part of the relaunch was a preceding competitor analysis, which included not only the automotive sector but also digital eCommerce platforms. Georg Schulte, Senior Manager Digital Business, emphasizes the constructive collaboration during the Covid-19-related lockdown: "The project team operated exclusively from home offices during the contact restrictions and launched a high-quality product through digital tools in creative brainstorming sessions and virtual project meetings that meets the needs of both our customers and our dealers. With the increased user-friendliness, we expect increasing online leads for our dealers."
FindMyMazda is managed by the Digital Business Team at Mazda, which was created two years ago to further advance digitalization within the company and Mazda dealerships. The team also develops the Mazda website in close consultation with colleagues from Mazda Europe, is responsible for the centrally provided dealer websites, and oversees digital innovation projects in cross-functional teams. On the agency side, Demodern is responsible for the FindMyMazda platform, which was developed in collaboration with agency partner Carix, including the photo app. Since April 2020, the in-house dealer management system MACS has also been integrated into the digital team. All digital projects are thus conceived and implemented from the online world to the physical dealer contact on site.
