An interactive video game on one of the largest cruise ships in the world: With 'Sasu's Mystical Quest', Demodern – Creative Technologies has created an exciting, entertaining, and technically innovative gaming adventure for their new client Royal Caribbean International, Miami. 'Sasu's Mystical Quest' is now available on board the newest Royal Caribbean cruiser 'Spectrum of the Seas', which exclusively sails in the Asian region. Demodern secured the mandate for the conception, creation, and development of the game in an international pitch.
Here's how the game works: On a specially crafted LED balance board by Demodern, up to four players simultaneously control the main character of the game, Sasu, through his mission in the deep sea. To achieve the highest possible score, players must shift their weight left or right, jump up and down, collect gems in classic jump 'n' run style, and avoid obstacles. Elaborately developed and animated in 3D, schools of fish, plants, and animals bring the underwater world to life. Magical creatures, for instance, assist the player or Sasu in his mission—provided they are discovered in the depths of the sea. However, the technically sophisticated underwater world also harbors dangers: If Sasu gets caught in the tentacles of an octopus, the player must shake until Sasu is free again. A leaderboard constantly displays the current high score to beat. And wheelchair users can also immerse themselves in the world of 'Sasu's Mystical Quest': In the accessible version, the player controls the character using a specially developed controller.

Demodern is responsible for the idea, concept, design, and technical implementation of the video game, which was entirely developed in the Unity 3D game engine.
