Pitch Victory: Demodern Wins CHIP.de

In the pitch for the digital relaunch of the brand CHIP.de from the Burda publishing house, the team from the Cologne digital agency Demodern prevailed against four competitors. The digital experts are developing a design vision for the repositioning of the brand CHIP.de. CHIP.de is expected to appear in a new design in 2015.

In close coordination with the CHIP team in the UX and design department, the Demodern team is revising and unifying the appearance of all digital presences of the brand – including the smartphone and tablet presence.

Demodern's Managing Director Kristian Kerkhoff is also enthusiastic: “CHIP.de is not only one of the most wide-reaching web portals in Germany but also a pioneer of the internet and a constant companion of all digital natives for almost 20 years. Giving such an important player a new face is a special task.”

With this recently won account, Demodern continues to develop positively. In the current year 2014, HASPA (Hamburger Sparkasse) and Interprint, one of the world's leading decor printers, have already been acquired as new clients. The collaboration with existing clients OttoBock and Viega has also been expanded. Accordingly, Demodern is hiring and currently employs 25 staff members.

The agency's growth and focus on digital solutions are also reflected in the new positioning by the managing directors Kristian Kerkhoff, Thomas Junk, and Alexander El-Meligi: The former Digital Design Studio Demodern now operates as a Digital Agency. In this context, the Cologne team also revised their entire corporate identity.
