With our "Raumfabrik" concept, we at Demodern - Creative Technologies won the idea competition for the implementation of the VELUX Experience World. In a listed industrial hall in Hamburg, we will create a productive, innovative, hybrid brand and product experience for end customers, craftsmen, and architects. The idea competition was supervised by DETAIL - Magazine for Architecture + Construction Detail.

In the Hamburg Bahrenfelder Conz-Höfe - on around 3000 m² and two floors, the VELUX Experience World is to be created. A showroom where the brand and products are presented in a historic setting. An experience that gives private and professional customers the opportunity, products, and tools to take their projects with the world's largest manufacturer of roof windows to the next level. Here, even more dreams of light and air under the roofs are to become reality in the future.
Our concept convinced through flexibility, immersive scenarios, and the creative use of technologies to demonstrate real use cases.
In the VELUX Experience World, in addition to end customers, expertise and training will also be part of the new brand experience. Thus, the space will offer a training academy for craftsmen and trade in addition to the showroom.
Sustainability has long been a major and important topic for VELUX. And in the VELUX Experience World, there will also be a strong focus on the use of sustainable building materials, renewable energies, and future adaptability. A demand that, according to Demodern Creative Director Flo Gläser: "... is super exciting in our dance area. Engaging with where hosting takes place, which servers are used with which energy, and how data and required computing power can be reduced are topics that the digital or technology world will not be able to avoid in the future."
Together with VELUX Germany, we plan to complete the Experience World in 2024.
