Why CHRONEXT needed an app.
CHRONEXT aimed to transfer the browsing of luxury watches from the web into a native, emotional experience while ensuring trust and performance. The goal was to create an elegant, high-performance iOS app with high stability, localized content, and clearly measurable KPIs such as conversion, retention, and loading times.
The delivered iOS app combines a premium look and feel with core features such as browsing, wish lists, price notifications, checkout, localized content management, and push services. A consistent motion concept and an animation library ensure smooth transitions and a high-quality user experience.
An iOS app that stages luxury watches as an experience.
The focus was on visual quality and intuitive interactions. Transitions explain hierarchies between tile and detail page, micro-animations provide immediate feedback, making navigation noticeably more pleasant. The animation library allows CHRONEXT to quickly and consistently animate new components in the future.
Measurable results in a short time.
The app was launched worldwide in the App Store in September 2022. Developed by an international team of around 30 developers, designers, and product managers, the solution led to noticeably shorter loading times and positive user feedback that made the brand appear more accessible and simultaneously more valuable.
For the implementation, we combined React Native with commercetools and a CMS-driven content workflow. The process was divided into Discover, Prototype, Build, and Launch. An agile remote workflow with regular stand-ups and retrospectives kept the international team synchronized and delivered high quality in a short time.
This is how we built the app.
The central lever was the precise choreography of animations alongside a stable, scalable architecture. Gyroscope-supported parallax effects give teasers depth, the animation library standardizes motion rules, and the CMS allows for easy maintenance and rapid localization of content.
The combination of thoughtful motion design, stable architecture, and close, agile collaboration has had the greatest impact. Small, well-placed animations increase trust and facilitate decisions, while a CMS-supported workflow enables rapid localization and content control. The result: design and technology must work hand in hand from the very beginning.
