The market gives away personality.
Many helmets remain white and interchangeable. helmade wanted to change that, offering users expression instead of standard and simultaneously creating a scalable, reliable ordering and production system.
The site should tell the brand and story, inspire users, and quickly lead them to the configurator. Success was measured by user engagement, configuration starts, and stable performance across devices.
The goal was joy of use and scalable individuality.



An eCommerce-native brand experience with an interactive 3D configurator was delivered.
Configurator, shop, and content create a seamless experience.
We delivered a high-performance WebGL configurator, a Magento-based shop, custom interfaces, as well as image and video productions. Presets, save and share functions, and live feedback in the interface made the operation intuitive and inspiring.

The concept and product were developed in four phases: Research and target group workshops laid the foundation, prototypes and usability tests shaped the interface, the technical setup ensured performance, and the launch brought the brand live. Iterative testing ensured that the configurator feels like a native app.
WebGL enabled photorealistic representations despite slim modeling; low-poly models and precise textures reproduce paints from over a hundred colors performantly on all devices. Magento forms the backbone for orders, manufacturing, and after-sales.

The platform supports over a hundred color variants and three product worlds, offers a direct entry into personalization, and generates real user engagement. Users report that the configurator feels like a 'program', which significantly enhances the joy of use and brand loyalty.

Key learnings show that early prototyping and close coordination between design, 3D modeling, and production make the biggest difference. Performance optimizations on mobile and clear design lines ensured both scalability and the tangible craftsmanship of the products.
