IM.PRINT makes your uniqueness visible.

Why identity should be an experience.
Identity often remains invisible, even though it shapes our experiences. The challenge was to make this hidden aspect tangible and to provide visitors with a direct, sensory connection to their uniqueness. Success was measured by emotional engagement, longer dwell time, and the feeling of being a creator themselves.
Immersive projection of a generative fingerprint artwork in a dark room, visitors interact with light particles and colors.
With a simple scan, IM.PRINT transforms the fine lines of a fingerprint into vibrant, generative visuals and a controllable soundscape. Projections, particles, and swirls respond in real-time to inputs, creating a unique, changeable artwork in the space for each individual.
An individual fingerprint becomes an interactive artwork.

The visit begins with the scan of a finger; parameters such as density, rotation, and color tone can be intuitively adjusted. Visual forms and ambient sounds adapt immediately, returning control and creative power to the individual while keeping the experience both sensory and playful.

This is how the experience works in four steps.
First, concepts and prototypes are developed, then iterated in a live test, followed by technical setup and fine-tuning before the opening. Technically, we connect a fast scan with algorithmic visualization, projection mapping, and an adaptive sound system, all designed to work quickly, reliably, and with data privacy in mind.
Colored particle swirls and overlays of sound waves as visual impressions of generative art.
The most important insight was that genuine participation deeply anchors the experience. People who can choose, shape, and hear for themselves treat the result as a personal artifact and share it more often in conversation or on social media. This makes art relevant and sustainably experiential.
Visitors become artists of their own identity.
