Virtual Rainhaus

The Virtual Rainhouse expands Modulr's innovation hub into the digital space.

We have transformed the Rainhouse into a hybrid experience.
Physical boundaries and travel efforts hindered exchange and innovation. Modulr needed a quick, accessible environment where workshops, keynotes, and 1:1 conversations could take place equally — a digital space that reflects the brand, architecture, and atmosphere of the real Rainhouse.
The solution needed to be quick, flexible, and practical.
The goal was a flexible, brand-coherent platform that can be configured for events of all sizes and provides an intense experience on both desktop and mobile.

A brand-coherent innovation hub space for genuine exchange and collaboration.
Based on the VE platform, a modular space was created that is accessible around the clock (24/7) with an auditorium, lobby, and private meeting areas. Deliverables included the virtual environment, interactive whiteboards, as well as avatar and spatial audio features; initial workshops took place even before the official launch.

Visitors can create avatars, explore interactive case studies, work on whiteboards, and meet the team directly for conversations. The 'Wall of Fame' showcases benchmark projects and makes complex processes tangible rather than just explaining them.

Four clear phases guided the project.
The process followed clear phases from discovery to launch: Discover, Prototype, Build, and Launch were iteratively navigated, allowing design and functionality to be tested and adjusted early on.

The implementation translated modular architectural features into digital spaces and emphasized low entry barriers, mobile accessibility, and eco-friendly hosting. Technically, the experience was based on VE as the supporting platform, complemented by easily integrable communication and analytics interfaces. The key insight: Early prototypes and real user experiences determine acceptance.

The experience scales brand, reach, and sustainability.
By digitally rethinking its physical identity, Modulr has created a place that increases reach, reduces travel activity, and at the same time offers a warm, inviting experience. The project demonstrates how hybrid spaces accelerate innovation and enable lasting new forms of collaboration.
