An interactive table makes Parador floors immediately tangible.

Purchasing decisions for flooring are complex and emotional.
When buying flooring, material, color, and the later room feeling determine the choice – often requiring time and consultation. The goal was to strengthen consultation situations, shorten decision times, and increase the conversion rate at the POS by making real samples digitally tangible.

The POS application connects physical sample boards with an iPad app: When a sample is placed, the table recognizes the pattern, displays product details, visualizes floors in different environments, allows direct comparisons, and saves favorites for later use.
Samples are automatically recognized, visualized, and saved as favorites.

Hidden RFID tags in the labels provide a unique identity. Two readers in the table read the tags, a control unit matches the article number with the product database, and the appropriate view appears immediately on the iPad – thus merging the analog sample with digital consultation.

The application adapts to each retailer.
Through a cloud-based backend, the product range can be individually configured, product data is continuously synchronized, and device management allows for central monitoring. Retailers thus receive up-to-date content and easy control for local consultation scenarios.

Customers can save favorites, calculate required quantities, and transfer all selected products to a personalized landing page via QR code. This seamlessly extends the customer journey: at home, all favorites, prices, and retailer contacts are immediately available.

Based on the Parador CI, we developed a reduced interface with clear surfaces and vertical lines that captures the tactile quality of the wooden surfaces and places the product image in the spotlight.
A streamlined interface brings the product into focus.
Four phases led from the idea to the international rollout.
First, we explored retailer needs and user interactions, then tested prototypes with RFID integration. In the build phase, the iPad app, backend, and device logic were implemented, and in the launch phase, the cloud-based device management supported the scaled rollout into new markets.

The solution is scalable and makes products experienceable everywhere.
