We make social justice in sports tangible.

Discrimination in sports needs visible resistance.
Rise aimed primarily to reach young sports fans and activate the community. The challenge was to convey a sensitive topic in a low-threshold and motivating way, to make engagement measurable, and to translate encounters with discrimination into concrete learning and action experiences.
In collaboration with the marketing agency OBE, we developed a web-based endless runner game featuring the mascot Spark, six levels, quiz questions on social skills, collectible power-up cards, and a community leaderboard. The game combines fun with concrete learning moments and a simple CMS for long-term maintenance.

Spark is designed as a brave light figure that radiates pride and self-confidence. The character motivates players to get involved and take action, visualizing how many small lights together create a strong flame.

The game introduces players step by step to complex topics.
The process was divided into Discover, Prototype, Build, and Launch. Core ideas include collecting lights, transforming obstacles into rewards, quiz questions on six social skills, and collectible cards with personal messages from Champions of Change. Technically, the game is web-based and can be expanded at any time via a simple CMS.

Players collect lights and power-ups, answer situational quiz questions, and unlock collectible cards of their role models. Correct answers lead to immediate rewards, connecting learning progress and motivation and making the learned material directly experienceable.

The game makes social justice tangible, strengthens the sense of community, and gives Rise a scalable tool to keep content up to date and reach new target groups in the long term.
