Welcome home: The RTL media group made tangible.

A large media corporation was often reduced to its TV formats.
The challenge was to make identity, competence, and the people behind the brands visible. The goal was to create more transparency for the press, partners, and applicants, provide easy access to relevant areas, and foster a stronger emotional connection to the employer brand.
The solution needed to be emotional, exploratory, and informative, while being equally convincing on desktop and mobile. Relevant KPIs included accesses to the 360° spaces, dwell time, and feedback from HR and the press.
Transparency, identity, and talent acquisition were the driving goals.
An experiential corporate website with six walkable rooms and high-quality moving images was implemented.
A customized 360° WebGL player was delivered, featuring six rooms, hotspots that open interviews, background information, and CTA overlays, classic content pages, and responsive video formats. Result: 6 virtual rooms, a 360° player, and noticeably closer connections to employees.
The process was iterative, moving from discovery through prototype and build to launch; early tests of the hotspot mechanics and ongoing motion design ensured natural transitions and easy navigation.

The magic happened when users could dive directly from the 360° view into high-quality interview clips and background texts via hotspots. This merges exploratory exploration and informative content into a natural experience that sparks curiosity and fosters familiarity.

For emotional depth, we relied on produced interviews in collaboration with Vision Factory, showcasing employees as authentic ambassadors. The videos are embedded to provide direct insights into everyday work and identification, functioning consistently across all devices.

Technology serves the experience and remains in the background.
The 360° player utilizes optimized image and video components, adaptive resolution, and integration with the CMS as well as tracking for insights. Performance, accessibility, and smooth transitions were central, ensuring that technology supports storytelling rather than dominating it.

Design decisions featuring softer shapes, elegant lines, and subtle animations create a contemporary face and a calm, confident feeling when switching between layers. Every detail was optimized to convey trust and accessibility.

The relaunch resulted in a platform that allows the RTL media group to be experienced not just as a broadcasting network, but as a vibrant, operational company. The personal approach strengthens the employer brand, facilitates contact, and invites visitors to look behind the scenes.
