A playful, globally connected event that makes leadership tangible.

The challenge was to make leadership tangible and scalable.
SAP aimed to empower people worldwide to make sustainable decisions and rethink conferences. The goal was an interactive format with measurable KPIs such as participant engagement, global networking, and reliable data synchronization between the web and exhibition stands.

The result was a hybrid multiplayer experience that placed participants in CEO roles, provided learning scenarios, and synchronized web and onsite players. Deliverables included a responsive web application, phygital terminals, a central backend, and the Global Dashboard as an insights hub.
We delivered 'Values to Value', a hybrid, gamified showcase experience.

At the exhibition stands, guests controlled their virtual companies via ergonomic standing terminals with a tactile rotary knob mechanism that enabled quick decisions and millisecond tracking. The units are portable, locally server-operated, and provide visual feedback via LED to make interaction clearly tangible.

The centerpiece was a synchronized backend and a Global Dashboard.
All interactions flowed into a centralized database that synchronized user actions across devices and locations, condensing them into collective insights on the Global Dashboard. Local CMS servers ensured offline robustness, while localized story assets enriched the experience for different regions.
Throughout the project, we conducted discovery, prototyping, building, and launching in short cycles, repeatedly testing multiplayer scenarios to optimize UX and performance. The combination of gamified storytelling, synchronized real-time technology, and physical haptics was at the core. The tech foundation consisted of local CMS servers, a central backend for synchronization, and optimized mobile web clients. Early multiplayer testing proved to be a crucial lever for scalability and user retention.
We worked iteratively from discovery to launch.

At Expo 2020 in Dubai, the hybrid setup was presented as a flagship, with live game results synchronized and compared globally. The presentation connected local experiences with international reach and made the networking of participants immediately visible.

The project ran as a flagship at Expo 2020 in Dubai (October 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022) and utilized a Global Dashboard made up of nine 45" screens as well as portable terminal stands with a 1.2-meter base. User signals from the web and onsite were synchronized in real-time, leading to stronger participant engagement and positive feedback from the professional audience and partners.
The result was measurable and tangible.
