SNIPES makes young talents visible with studio-quality.

Many talents lack access to studio equipment.
Shops often lack the necessary equipment and know-how for hobby rappers to produce high-quality recordings. SNIPES wanted to deepen its hip-hop credibility and provide the community with an accessible stage that promotes creative participation and enables direct reach through social sharing.

The Soundbooth is a guided mini-studio that combines multi-track recording, video recording from two angles, and direct social sharing. Users are guided through a simplified recording process, receive studio quality without prior experience, and can immediately share their tracks online.

Space-saving design and targeted user studies were central to making studio functionality possible in small retail spaces. Through optimized booth size, clear movement areas, and an intuitive touch interface, the booth integrates seamlessly into the store without affecting sales areas.

Launch in four flagship stores demonstrates the scalability of the concept.
The Soundbooth is now live in Amsterdam, Berlin, Paris, and Miami. Each booth features a 24-inch screen and two high-performance cameras, allowing for studio-quality performances that can be shared directly as video tracks. This creates visible brand moments and genuine community interaction.

The Guided Experience supports beginners as well as professionals: step-by-step recording, multi-track recording, and automatic mixing ensure that everyone feels like they are in a real studio and can proudly share the result immediately.

Our process followed clear phases: understanding through user studies, rapid prototypes for interface and space, technical setup with high-quality audio hardware, and a staggered rollout in flagships for validation.

The technology was chosen to be reliable while remaining in the service background. A powerful PC, professional audio interface, and robust cameras ensure studio quality, while the texture-based touch interface emotionally enhances the experience and remains intuitive to use.
