Digital engineering that redefines the experience of adhesive tape.

The consulting had to be technically demanding while also being quick.
In automotive manufacturing, very specific requirements meet rapid innovation cycles. tesa needed a solution that makes complex customer requests visible, enables quick decisions, and provides measurable KPIs for consulting and development without wasting engineering budget and time.

In the end, a Collaborative Engineering Tool was created that connects sales, consulting, and product development, offering multiple entry paths for different user types. The solution visualizes inquiries, allows for direct inputs, and generates immediately usable product proposals.
An interactive system makes customer requirements instantly tangible.
Four user-tailored applications ensure that beginners, seekers, and experts each find a suitable access point. This creates a seamless user experience that makes consulting efficient and shows technical details where they are relevant.
Conversational interface, contextual search, 3D vehicle viewer, and a native drawing tool work together and adapt to the user.

The native drawing tool provides a natural, lag-free input behavior, allowing engineers and customers to directly mark problem areas. These precise sketches are immediately incorporated into the product proposals, reducing misunderstandings between consulting and development.

In four phases from Discover to Prototype, Build, and Launch, we closely tested, prototyped, and optimized the performance of the WebGL viewer and the integration of the 98" screen with tesa. Real-time rendering meets pre-rendered Unity sequences to deliver visually impressive and performance-oriented representations.
Real-time rendering, WebGL viewer, and native tools ensured smooth interaction.

As a visual highlight, the Attractor Screen delivers a magical moment: After completing an inquiry, a digital atom flies from the terminal to the screen and enriches the stand presentation. This staging increases attention, creates familiarity, and makes results immediately shareable.

The solution made customer requirements tangible and accelerated development.
Several hundred visitors used the system, inquiries could be condensed into concrete proposals in just a few minutes, and each inquiry received a project ID that enabled traceability and real-time feedback with the tesa engineers. Overall, the system increased trust and the speed of product development.
