We have redesigned the digital identity of Villeroy & Boch.
Tradition needs visible renewal.
The challenge was to present a brand that is over 250 years old in a digitally contemporary and authentic way. The goal was a responsive, high-performing presence, a clearer information architecture, and a CMS that simplifies editorial and governance tasks, allowing the brand to express quality and innovation online.

We have redefined the corporate typeface, color palette, imagery, and a modular design grid. Simultaneously, the information architecture was restructured and the technical implementation of a responsive frontend was carried out, combining visual consistency and editorial efficiency.
A new, flexible design system unites tradition and modernity.

The corporate typeface is prominently used, while the digital blue and a modern gold tone together convey exclusivity and vibrancy. The system is complemented by an imagery guideline that places products, people, and craftsmanship in a harmonious, unified atmosphere.

The implementation took place in four clear phases.
Discover, Prototype, Build, and Launch structured the process. Collaborative workshops and moodboards shaped the design direction, prototypes tested interaction and content, and the final build brought together frontend performance and integration into the CMS.
The 'Magic Moment' was created through the modular content grid, which breaks up traditional box structures and allows for visually fluid pages. Editorially, the module variants enable quick, consistent page layouts, while technically, a lean frontend ensures loading performance and stable integrations.
Visual details were implemented in almost every module: colored areas, fine lines, and a flexible approach to the corporate typeface ensure high recognizability and subtle elegance. Editorial workflows benefit from the pre-configured module combinations, saving time and ensuring quality.
The result presents Villeroy & Boch confidently and contemporarily.
Small details create great brand trust.
The greatest impact was achieved through consistent typography, the new color composition, and the flexible design grid. Together, these elements make the brand digitally tangible, facilitate editorial work, and strengthen the perception of quality, craftsmanship, and a spirit of innovation.
