From pixel trees to real trees.
1 Euro means a real tree.
The interactive tree world allows visitors to plant digital trees, which become real trees around the world through a corresponding donation and the work of Plant for the Planet, making donations immediately visible and playfully experienced.

Climate change requires tangible actions, and young initiatives like Plant for the Planet make participation meaningful and trustworthy, which is why the goal was to create a low-threshold, emotionally engaging way to donate.
The initiative was started by children and remains youthful and credible to this day.

All trees in the world are designed by students, and the handmade look runs through the interaction, making the experience personal, approachable, and special.
The landscape is endlessly expandable and immediately accessible.
We designed a compact navigation, a short intro video, and tablet gestures, added micro-animations for emotional engagement, and integrated secure micropayment options to ensure the promise '1 Euro = 1 Tree' is maintained until completion.

An interactive, thematically structured tree world was delivered, along with an animated intro film, comprehensive tablet support, secure micropayment integration, as well as deep-linkable sharing and many micro-animations that accompany the user journey.
The digital experience instantly transforms donations into real plantings.

Plant for the Planet was founded in 2007 and now has over 100,000 members; with the simple promise '1 Euro = 1 Tree', the platform builds trust, the open duration promotes continuous growth, and deep links have significantly increased reach.
From discovery to launch, we accompanied the entire process.
In discovery, we clarified user needs, in prototypes we tested gestures and interaction, in build we implemented the landscape and payment processes, and in launch we ensured performance, sharing mechanics, and stability.

The biggest levers were the low entry barrier for planting, the personal touch of the student illustrations, and the visible feedback with every donation; the lesson was to combine playful elements with clear trust signals to sustainably increase impact.
