A virtual stage that brings people together despite distance.
The challenge was to create closeness over distance.
Covid-19 made physical meetings impossible and raised the question of how to establish emotional connection and shared experiences online. The goal was a global event series for internal and external audiences that promotes community, collaboration, and dialogue; success was measured by participation, country reach, and interaction rates.

From our corporate virtual platform, a customized web experience emerged featuring an immersive 3D world, an arena for live talks, collaborative workshop spaces, breakouts, and an on-demand library, as well as a customizable agenda and integrated interaction options.
An immersive event experience for global live talks and collaboration.

The arena serves as the heart of the experience, consolidating live streams, presentations, and audience interaction. Speakers were integrated live from the studio or from home, while the audience followed talks together, asked questions, and seamlessly transitioned into workshops or breakout sessions.
Participation was actively designed and made social.
Interactive hotspots guided visitors intuitively through the world, an overarching event chat facilitated Q&A and public discussions, while private 1:1 and group video chats enabled spontaneous networking and genuine dialogue.

An emotional onboarding guided guests through an intro sequence, explained features, and provided immediate orientation, while the backend allowed for personalized agendas and notifications.
Each user received a tailored agenda and clear orientation.
Intro sequences and short demo clips emotionally engaged users and sparked interest in interaction. Live and on-demand videos were seamlessly combined, allowing participants to catch up on relevant sessions at any time and quickly find their way around.
The first event attracted around 300 participants from 33 countries.
The platform quickly established itself as a blueprint for further internal and external events; alongside measurable participant numbers, qualitative feedback confirmed that the experience fosters a real sense of community and sustainable networking in the digital space.
