Interactive stories that engage children actively.

Children should co-create stories, not just listen.
Royal Caribbean aimed to modernize family programs and provide curiosity-driven, participatory experiences for children aged three to five. Participation, engagement duration, and positive crew feedback were measured, with the goal of creating memories that families will share for a long time.

We delivered cinematic, interactive 3D worlds, a host tablet app, an original soundtrack, and ergonomic controllers, allowing up to 20 children to solve missions simultaneously and influence the course of the story.
An interactive storybook with Lulu & Mika and branching ten-minute chapters.

The specially designed controller is robust, easy to hold, and intuitive to use. After internal prototypes, CAD design, and 3D printing, 90 series devices were produced and tested for tough everyday use on board, so children can start playing immediately.

Movement, sounds, and gestures become part of the narrative.
The gameplay recognizes shouting, jumping, dancing, and facial expressions, translating simple actions into exciting story events. Each story contains up to 14 interactive moments where children make decisions and solve problems through cooperation.
Together with Loy Production, we developed a non-verbal, scat-based sound language and a flexible soundtrack that conveys emotions without linguistic barriers. Tempo and instrumentation adapt to the scene, creating international closeness.
A universal language and music connect children worldwide.

The stories run in real-time in Unity; animations from Maya are dramaturgically controlled. A tablet app supports crew members with cues, allowing hosts to personally guide interactive highlights and adapt the experience live for the audience.

Thousands of new vacation memories and a showcased pilot project on board.
Since the launch, thousands of Adventure Ocean Juniors have interacted with Lulu & Mika. On 'Icons of the Seas', the Camping Adventure started as a new chapter; crew and guests report high participation, positive feedback, and daily unforgettable moments.
